How We Launch an AI Support Pilot in One Week

One-week AI support pilots are possible with tight scope and good docs. Here is our day-by-day process and what clients need to prepare.

We say one week for focused pilots. That is real — but only when scope is tight and clients respond quickly. Here is the actual schedule.

Day 1 — Discovery and scope

Collect top customer questions, access to FAQ/policy pages, brand voice samples, and escalation contacts. Lock the channel: website widget, Shopify, or helpdesk.

Day 2–3 — Knowledge base build

Structure docs, remove contradictions, add missing answers. This is the heavy lift — and the reason many DIY bots fail.

Day 4 — Test with real questions

Run 30–50 actual customer scenarios. Flag hallucination risks, tone issues, and escalation gaps. Client reviews and approves answer categories.

Day 5 — Launch and monitor

Soft launch with business hours rules and fallback messaging. Watch conversations live for the first 48 hours. Tune escalation thresholds.

What slows projects down

  • No single decision-maker
  • Policies that exist only in someone's inbox
  • Requests to integrate five channels at once
